The Alliance at the Day of German Industry 2018 in Berlin
On September 25, organized by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Day of German Industry took place in Berlin. Under this year’s motto “Risk”, 1100 representatives from politics, business and society came together to discuss the future of German industry, international trade and current political events.
Philipp Kruschel, head of the Alliance’s administrative office, accepted the BDI’s invitation and represented the German Alliance for Trade Facilitation. The event stressed the importance of securing the liberal multilateral trading system and a closer collaboration between politics and businesses.
This is exactly where the German Alliance for Trade Facilitation positions itself: As multi-stakeholder partnership, it unites the interests of companies, governments and associations to make international trade faster and more efficient. In turbulent times of economic policies, it promotes the regulations and goals of the WTO by implementing the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
As a member of the steering committee of the Alliance, the BDI particularly supports public-private cooperation and trade facilitation. Please find more information on the BDI’s website.
